Hawzah News Agency- Organized by Al-Kawthar University, the meeting brought together prominent religious figures, senior scholars, and clerics from across Pakistan and other Islamic countries. The participants underscored that unity and solidarity are essential for the dignity, progress, and independence of the Islamic Ummah, describing them as the true symbols of honor for the Muslim world.
A high-ranking delegation from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) also attended the ceremony, with Hojatoleslam Ali Qarawi delivering a speech as the special representative of the shrine.
In his address, Hojatoleslam Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Chairman of the Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan, stressed that the peaceful coexistence and convergence of Islamic sects are vital to safeguarding the Ummah’s interests. “The dignity and progress of the Islamic Ummah can only be achieved through unity and the rejection of division,” he said.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Solidarity, highlighted Pakistan’s central role in the Islamic world, saying, “Pakistan is the center of hope for the Islamic Ummah, and its strength and survival depend on the unity of Muslims.”
Also speaking at the event, Hojatoleslam Arif Hussain Wahedi, Vice Chairman of the Shia Ulema Council and member of the Committee for Mercy of the Worlds, emphasized that the presence of scholars from all Islamic sects in one gathering sends a powerful message of solidarity and brotherhood.
He described the conference as “a divine blessing and an important step toward protecting the dignity of the Ummah, strengthening Islamic unity, and overcoming sectarian divisions.”
